World Aids Orphans Day May 7, 2007

In 2010, there will be at least 100 million orphans
and children affected by AIDS.

FXB International has initiated this Day of Consciousness, World AIDS Orphan Day.

  • The mission of FXB is to fight poverty and AIDS and support the AIDS orphans and vulnerable children left in the wake of the AIDS pandemic by providing global support to families and communities that care for them by advocating for their basic rights.
  • Every year on May 7 FXB gives a voice to those millions of voiceless through a global solidarity and consciousness-raising day: World AIDS Orphans Day.

How can you help?
You can sign up for the cause and raise your voice.
You can make a donation that will help a child’s future.
You can send a check, a wire transfer, or donate ONLINE.
You can also go and support an event.

Being aware of the problem is a start. It’s what you do from there that counts.

I hope to see the number of people who join this cause rise high. My name is Rocky, and I was number 302. I refuse to let these children’s voices not be heard. I hope you do too.

Peace my friends,

    Dear Head Mutha,

Please excuse my fumble in posting a comment. The wonders of technology continue to be beyond my grasp apparently.

I was trying to respond to your comment on Margie’s blog here on yours and ended up copying the above which was way too much.

What I meant to say is: IMO anger is the cover for hurt. It’s an expression of pain that is too much to contain. This rage and pain is a warning to you.

I understand that it in itself is not helpful. Going to these wounded ones blogs and reading about them in their safe places may be helpful. It may be a way for you to learn about some of the inner trials adoptees face. It may help you.

We’re ALL doing our best. Every kick is a boost. When do you want to get up?
