Audrey Forshey, President
Audrey is dedicated to helping and protecting her family and others. This has led to her successful career as a REALTOR in Maryland since 1988. She takes pride in her ability to help both first-time homebuyers and returning clients find the home of their dreams.
Audrey’s attention turned to helping Saint Monica’s in Kenya after meeting Rocky in 2008 and personally donating to MFFO. She and her husband, Mike, have hosted the annual Gift of Education Fundraiser since 2009.
After 10 years, Audrey has decided to take on the role as the new Director of MFFO. Her love and dedication to the girls has surpassed MFFO’s dream and we are so excited to watch MFFO move forward under her leadership.
Juli Murdock, Secretary
Juli, a mother of two boys, was thrilled on her first visit to volunteer in Kenya to find out that it was at an all girls home. In 2007, Juli traveled to Kenya with Racquel to St. Monica’s Childrens Home where they both fell in love with the girls. Juli has since been back three times and has sponsored Teresia since she was in elementary school. She is proud to say, Teresia now attending college.
Volunteering is an important part of Juli’s life. She served for three years as Vice President and President of Scottsdale Arcadia Soccer Youth Club, McCormick Ranch Little League for 2 years, and volunteered for 3 years at Crisis Nursery in Phoenix, the Valley’s longest-serving Children’s Shelter that provides a safe haven for children threatened with abuse and neglect. Juli previously was an integral part of creating and serving on the board for Bikers 4 Boobies 501(c)3, which is one of the largest Charity Motorcycle Runs in Arizona. Juli joined the Board and serves as Secretary for MFFO.
Juli works for herself doing photo editing and graphic design as well as event photography. She also has a company with her husband that provides photography for the real estate industry.
Gisela John, Treasurer
Mothers Fighting For Others (MFFO.org)’s new leader, Audrey Forshey, asked me to join her new team going forward after Rocky’s leadership turn over in November 2017 and to keep her legacy alive. There was no hesitation on my part to participate and help this amazing organization as I had been introduced to these wonderful caring women already in 2009.
I became a donor at the first event that I participated in and sponsored Hannah N the following year.
Although I am now retired, my 40 years of accounting background in various types of industries gave me the foundation to be responsible for the funds entrusted to Mothers Fighting For Others (MFFO.org) by our sponsors and donors.
It was a very gratifying experience for me to meet all girls in late August of 2018 for the very first time and participate in the events that Audrey and Jackie had prepared for all along with spending time with all after hours along with staying with them in their Home.
You come back home and feel that you just want to do your very best to find support for all those deserving girls to help them to get the best education possible. They are really so very thankful to all of our supporters and would hug them if that would be possible.

My first trip to Kenya was in 2012 and fell in love with the country and the people and knew I would be back really soon. I came home and met Audrey Forshey that same week and joined Mffo and was super excited to help the girls of Saint Monica’s get an education and grow up to be successful adults. Now I go to Kenya regularly to visit the girls. I am also a realtor with RE/MAX in Washington, D.C.
